POSITION: Customer Sales & Service Trainee
REPORTS TO: Customer Service Supervisor or other Designated Supervisor
LOCATION: Evansville, IN
POSITION SUMMARY: Under training and work direction, answers customer phone calls, selling services and covering full range of services in a prompt and professional manner. Obtains necessary information for resolution of transactions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Provides prompt resolution of customer inquiry by providing appropriate billing, service, programming or maintenance information. Records information as needed or required.
  • Sells new services to new customers and attempts to upgrade existing customers.
  • Considers customer request to disconnect or downgrade services and makes valid attempt to prevent such action. Processes request if unsuccessful in retaining customer or service.
  • Exceeds or maintains minimum sales standards as required.
  • Demonstrates courtesy and patience in customer relations.
  • Prepares work orders for requests after determining if field visit is required and assures appropriate follow-up procedures are followed.
  • May perform follow-up on installation/service quality, greet walk-in customers, handle cash and process requests on a direct customer contact basis.
  • Successful completion of Insight Communications customer 1st Course during training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Customer Service or related work experience.
  • Data entry experience and/or customer service experience desirable.
