In this capacity, Colony will be responsible for all internal and external communications for the company, including media and public relations, public affairs, community relations and web initiatives. She will be based in New York and will report directly to Willner.

During her career, Colony has also held positions as vice president, corporate communications at StarBand Communications Inc., a high-speed, satellite-delivered Internet service, and vice president, public relations at the Food Network.
“We are very pleased to welcome Sandra to our team and are certain she will be a pivotal addition to the company,” said Willner. “She joins us at an exciting time in Insight’s growth as we, and the cable industry at large, enter a more competitive landscape and are exposed to ever advancing technologies. Her cable expertise, particularly with new product launches, will be an important asset in shaping our communications strategy and conveying the company’s mission and superior product offerings to all audiences: the public, media, employees, customers and shareholders.”
