Insight Communications Named "Cable Operator Of The Year"
New York – October 29, 2001 –
Insight Communications announced today that the company was named “2001 Cable Operator of the Year” by Cablevision Magazine.
According to Cablevision, a widely-read cable industry trade magazine, this award was created in 1988 “to recognize one cable company's outstanding quality of management, commitment to customer relations and community service, and financial and operational acumen.” As this year’s recipient, Insight joins the ranks of past winners marking national, industry-wide recognition of the company and its efforts.
“It’s an incredible honor,” said Insight President & CEO Michael Willner. “In what has been a key year, I’m thrilled to see that everybody’s hard work is being so richly recognized. This achievement brings great distinction to each and every employee of our company.”
The “2001 Cable Operator of the Year” award was presented to the company on October 23 at a ceremony in Washington, DC, which will be broadcast on CSPAN in upcoming days and weeks.
